We asked HotelME, a hotel search app that works inside ChatGPT, to “find hotels on Amami Oshima where the Kyushu Fukko-Wari discount can be used, on weekdays in November.” One of the results was Hotel Yui-ness-Amami Marine Town (Hotel Yui-ness-Amami マリンタウン), in the urban center of Naze. HotelME is a service provided by MetroEngines Inc., the company that operates HotelBank. The information below reflects search results as of October 31, 2026, and does not guarantee availability or that the discount will be applied.

How to Search with HotelME in ChatGPT

All you need to do is call up HotelME inside ChatGPT and describe your conditions in everyday language. This is the single sentence we used:

“Find hotels on Amami Oshima where the Kyushu Fukko-Wari discount can be used, on weekdays in November.”

HotelME returns information on eligible plans confirmed on hotels’ official booking sites. It shows the check-in dates on which the eligible plan was confirmed on sale, a reference price for each date (pre-discount and estimated post-discount), how to receive the discount and how to pay, and a link to the hotel’s official booking page. What Kind of Hotel Is Hotel Yui-ness-Amami?

It is an urban hotel in Yanowaki-cho, Naze, Amami City, opened in October 2025 as the second property of Hotel New Amami (ホテルニュー奄美). According to the official website, the name “Yui” comes from yui (結), the spirit of mutual help long rooted in Amami. The details below are what we could confirm on the hotel’s official website.

Naze is the central urban area of Amami Oshima and is close to Naze New Port, where ferries arrive. It is a convenient base whether you arrive by boat or tour the island by rental car. According to HotelME, the prefecture’s direct-booking program status was “accepting applications” (per HotelME, as of October 31, 2026). Kagoshima Prefecture’s guidance sets the discount rate at 60% with a cap of ¥20,000 per person per trip (not per night). Table 2 lists the 9 dates, out of those on which HotelME showed the eligible plan on sale, for which we confirmed on October 31, 2026 that the official booking page was accepting reservations for the eligible plan (semi-double, 2 adults, 1 room). Availability changes daily, and some dates were fully booked at the time of our check.

Displayed prices and reservation acceptance were checked on the official booking page at around 7:35 a.m. (JST) on October 31, 2026 (only 1 room remained on November 26 and December 6). All figures are totals for 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night, consumption tax included (accommodation tax and bathing tax extra), and are reference prices, not final rates. The official booking page displays ¥12,400 (¥6,200 per adult × 2) without distinguishing between pre- and post-discount amounts; as stated in the plan description, the discount is applied by the hotel at check-in. The estimated post-discount price is HotelME’s calculation, which treats the displayed price as the pre-discount amount and applies the prefecture’s discount rules; depending on the hotel’s rounding, the actual amount may be up to ¥99 higher. Availability changes daily.

Prices may vary by date, so always read them together with the date. All 9 dates in Table 2 were shown on the official booking page under the plan “【南の宝箱 鹿児島ふっこう応援割キャンペーン】シンプルステイプラン（朝食付）禁煙 【公式】” with a semi-double room. This corresponds to the “Standard Single (semi-double bed)” on the official website (13–14㎡, unit bath), in which two adults share one 120cm-wide semi-double bed. If you prefer separate beds, you will need to check the official booking page to see whether the eligible plan is offered for twin rooms. The remaining prefectural budget and application of the discount are not guaranteed, and acceptance ends once the budget cap is reached. How It Compares with Amami City Rates

The ¥12,400 shown on the official booking page (2 adults, 1 room, 1 night, breakfast included; the pre-discount price in HotelME) is almost the same as the average listed price for business hotels in Amami City (Table 3). This comparison does not adjust for meal conditions or room size.

2. Check and select the stay date, number of guests and eligible plan. The link is an example for November 3 with 2 adults, so change it to your preferred date and party size, and choose the eligible plan whose name includes “鹿児島ふっこう応援割キャンペーン” (Kagoshima Fukko Ouenwari Campaign).
3. The discount is applied by the hotel at check-in. According to the official booking page, the lead guest must present photo ID and fill out a subsidy application form at check-in. Government-funded business trips and business use are not eligible.
