We found this inn by asking HotelME, a hotel search app that runs inside ChatGPT, to “find a Ureshino Onsen inn that accepts the Kyushu Fukko-Wari discount, on a weekday in November.” HotelME is a service of MetroEngines Inc., the company that operates HotelBank. All dates and prices in this article are search results as of October 30, 2026; they do not guarantee availability, that the discount will be applied, or that the prefecture’s budget will still be open.

The bottom line: for Hizen Ureshino Onsen Kakurejuku Hana no Shizuku (肥前 嬉野温泉 隠宿 華の雫) in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, HotelME confirmed that Kyushu Fukko-Wari eligible plans were on sale on the inn’s official booking site for a total of 19 dates between November 1 and December 25 (as of October 30, 2026; HotelME data). Of these, 15 are weekday check-ins (Sunday through Thursday, excluding nights before public holidays). When we checked the official booking page on October 30, 2026, the eligible plan could be selected on all 15 of these dates, and the total for 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night was ¥100,000 (the amount displayed on the official booking page, including consumption tax, excluding accommodation tax and bathing tax; reference price). According to the inn’s plan description, this displayed amount is the price after the discount. The discount rate is 50%, capped at ¥20,000 per person per trip.

How to Search with HotelME in ChatGPT

HotelME is a traveler-facing app that lets you search for hotels within a ChatGPT conversation. It is free to use and does not require a MetroEngines account. Connect from the HotelME page in ChatGPT, select the app in the conversation, then describe your conditions. The exact question we used (originally asked in Japanese) was:

“Find a Ureshino Onsen inn that accepts the Kyushu Fukko-Wari discount, on a weekday in November. 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night.”

The answer contains three things: the stay dates on which the eligible plan was confirmed on sale on the official booking site, the price displayed on the official booking site for that date (reference price), and a link that opens the official booking page with the date and party size already filled in. If the prefecture, check-in date or party size is missing, HotelME asks a follow-up question. HotelME surfaces eligible-plan information observed on official booking sites; it does not take bookings or payments itself, and you complete the booking on the linked official page. Note that searches cover only the properties HotelME collects and publishes, so the results do not include every inn in Ureshino Onsen. For the expanded search features (party size, multiple prefectures, comparing across a range of candidate dates) and how to check the discount procedure, see our article on HotelME’s expanded Kyushu Fukko-Wari search.

Even within the same prefecture, the budget is split by sales channel, so an inn’s direct-sales allocation may remain after the online travel sites have stopped taking bookings. HotelME is well suited to finding these “eligible plans still left on official sites.” For a prefecture-by-prefecture list of which channels have closed, see our article on the channel status by prefecture as of October 16 and November inn rates. In fact, an article on Hana no Shizuku’s eligible dates and booking conditions (in Japanese) also covers it as an inn not marked as closed in the prefecture’s list of participating accommodations.

What Kind of Inn Is Hana no Shizuku? (Facts Confirmed on the Official Site)

The official name is Hizen Ureshino Onsen Kakurejuku Hana no Shizuku, located at 445-1 Iwayagawachi-ko, Ureshino-machi, Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture. According to the official site, it is a 6-minute walk from JR Ureshino-Onsen Station, 5 minutes by car from Ureshino IC, 25 minutes by bus from JR Takeo-Onsen Station, and 35 minutes by car from Nagasaki Airport. From Hakata Station or Nagasaki Station, the Kyushu-go highway bus runs directly to Ureshino, and the inn is a 10-minute walk from Ureshino Bus Center. The location is convenient whether you arrive by the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen or by car.

The water is Ureshino Onsen’s sodium bicarbonate-chloride spring (hypotonic, weakly alkaline, high-temperature), and the large public bath is fed directly from the source (kakenagashi). In addition to a stone tub with full-height glass walls, the large bath has saunas (a steam sauna and a barrel sauna). According to the plan description on the official booking page, the large bath is mixed-gender, so swimwear is required (free rental available). There is also a private open-air bath; both the large bath and the private open-air bath are available from 7:00 to 23:00 (towel rental for the private open-air bath: ¥100 for a towel, ¥200 for a bath towel).

Rooms are mainly those with an open-air bath overlooking the Ureshino River below, with several types: rooms whose open-air bath comes with a löyly sauna and a projector, rooms with a rock-style family bath, Japanese-style rooms with an open-air bath, and others. Some rooms feature a sunken kotatsu table, large sofas and indirect lighting, so the atmosphere changes depending on the room you stay in. The plan description on the official booking page states that the inn has 10 rooms in total.

Meals are served in a restaurant with table and counter seating, centered on seasonal kaiseki courses using locally grown organic vegetables from Ureshino. Some plans serve premium A5-grade Imari beef grilled on a ceramic plate, and others include Ureshino’s signature hot-spring tofu (onsen yudofu) for breakfast. The inn also has a counter bar (20:00 to 24:00), where you can enjoy Kyushu shochu, sake and wine with dinner or in your room.

Kyushu Fukko-Wari Eligible Dates and Prices (HotelME Data, as of October 30, 2026)

The Kyushu Fukko Ouenwari (Kyushu Recovery Support Discount, commonly called “Kyushu Fukko-Wari”) is a discount program overseen by the Japan Tourism Agency, introduced after a wave of accommodation cancellations across Kyushu following the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake. In Saga Prefecture, the eligible stay period is October 1 to December 25, 2026; the discount is 50% of the travel or accommodation price; and for accommodation-only products the cap is ¥20,000 per person per trip. Direct-sales bookings at Saga Prefecture accommodations opened at 13:00 on October 13, and HotelME’s results as of October 30, 2026 showed Hana no Shizuku as still accepting bookings through the prefecture’s direct-sales channel. However, because the program is funded by a national grant, sales end once the allocated amount is used up, even within the program period. Neighboring Nagasaki Prefecture has already stopped accepting bookings under its discount budget.

HotelME confirmed that Hana no Shizuku’s eligible plan was on sale on a total of 19 dates between November 1 and December 25. Of these, the following 15 are Sunday-to-Thursday weekday check-ins excluding nights before public holidays. When we checked the official booking page on October 30, 2026, the eligible plan appeared on all 15 dates, and the displayed total for 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night was ¥100,000 on each. The inn’s plan description says “the price shown on the booking screen is the post-discount amount.” Read each price together with its date, and do not compare prices across dates as cheaper or more expensive. The eligible plans and rooms may differ by date.

Prices are the amounts displayed on the official booking page, which according to the inn’s plan description are post-discount amounts. They are reference prices for 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night in total, including consumption tax (accommodation tax and bathing tax extra), not confirmed prices. On November 4 and December 6, the only room type selectable under this plan was the “Gold, Silver, Cave and Mist Sauna Open-Air Bath” room (smoking permitted). Screenshot of Hana no Shizuku’s official booking site (captured October 30, 2026 JST). For a November 1, 2026 check-in with 2 adults and 1 room, the plan “[Kyushu Fukko Ouenwari Saga Campaign] Official Website Exclusive, 1 Night with 2 Meals” is shown, with a 60 m² room with a semi-open-air bath listed at a “regular price” of ¥100,000 total for 2 adults, 1 night (online prepayment, non-refundable). The plan description reads “The price of a 1-night stay with 2 meals is discounted by 50% (cap: ¥20,000 per guest per booking). The price shown on the booking screen is the post-discount amount” and “Sales will end once the budget is reached,” and notes that swimwear is required in the large bath because it is mixed-gender. We also confirmed on the same day that the eligible plan appeared on the official booking page for all 15 weekdays in Table 1. Please check the official booking page for the latest availability and prices.

The inn’s plan description states that the price shown on the booking screen is the post-discount amount. This article does not calculate the pre-discount price, the discount amount or the per-person price. The most reliable way to confirm the final amount you will pay is the booking screen on the official booking page. For how the cap kicks in first at inns with higher pre-discount rates, pushing the effective discount below the nominal 50%, see our article showing, from price distributions across the seven Kyushu prefectures, the share of hotels where the ¥20,000 cap binds.

How to Book and What to Watch Out For

According to HotelME’s results, Hana no Shizuku applies the discount “at the inn” and requires “prepayment.” On the official booking page, the eligible plan is paid in advance by card at the time of booking and cannot be refunded. Because Saga Prefecture’s campaign site shows every participating online booking site as “sold out” (checked October 30, 2026), book through the inn’s official booking page. The steps are as follows.

  1. Open Hana no Shizuku’s official booking page. The link is an example for a November 1 check-in with 2 adults and opens with the date and party size filled in, so change them to the dates you want.
  2. Choose the Kyushu Fukko-Wari eligible plan from the plan list. Eligible plans may vary by date, and selecting a regular plan will not apply the discount.
  3. Payment is in advance, so complete the card payment when you book. It is non-refundable. The inn’s plan description states that the price shown on the booking screen is the post-discount amount, so confirm the amount you pay on that screen.
  4. On the day of your stay, follow the inn’s instructions at check-in to complete the procedure. In Saga Prefecture, stays for business purposes such as business trips are not eligible.

Always check the official booking page for the latest availability and prices. The dates in this article are “dates on which HotelME confirmed the eligible plan was on sale and on which the eligible plan also appeared on the official booking page on October 30, 2026”; they do not mean you will definitely be able to stay on those dates. The prefectural budget is managed per sales channel, and once an inn’s allocation runs out, the discount can end without notice even within the program period.
