The academy provides training in Japanese language and Japanese lifestyle, in addition to acquiring skills necessary for employment in lodging facilities, such as room cleaning and food and beverage service in mock-up rooms. Already, the first cohort of Vietnamese interns and the second cohort of Filipino interns have utilized their learning at the academy to contribute to the Mystays Hotel Group.

The Technical Intern Training Program was established in 1993, and by the end of fiscal year 2022, there were 324,940 technical interns in Japan. The lodging occupation was added to the list of eligible occupations for Technical Intern Training Program 2 on February 25, 2020. The opening of the Narita Hospitality Academy aims to promote the acceptance of foreign technical interns in the hotel industry and to cultivate talent with high hospitality skills.

The training program, supervised by the Mystays Hotel Group, includes statutory training as well as learning about Japanese hospitality and culture, offering a comprehensive program of 184 to 200 hours. Participants can undergo practical training in restaurant service and room making.

The accommodation provided during the training period offers an environment where privacy is protected, and students can focus on their learning, with facilities including a laundry room and a BBQ terrace. The surrounding area is well-equipped, offering convenience for daily life. Meals are also provided to support the health of the interns.

The internship host sites are located at 149 facilities of the Mystays Hotel Group across Japan, ranging from lodging-specialized to comprehensive resort hotels, offering a variety of training opportunities. Thus, the Narita Hospitality Academy provides an optimal learning environment and training program for foreign technical interns, contributing to the cultivation of highly hospitable personnel.
