The Sun Frontier Group prioritizes contributing to customers and local communities under the corporate philosophy of “altruism”. All employees are dedicated to improving and refining their way of living to realize the happiness of those around them, with compassion and gratitude. This attitude is particularly evident in the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where hotels nationwide are advocating for sustainable tourism that respects local culture and environmental conservation.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015, are international objectives set for the year 2030, consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets. These goals are universal, addressing not only developing countries but also developed ones, including Japan, which is actively working towards them.

To contribute to the promotion of these goals, the Sun Frontier Group has undertaken the following initiatives:

As of December 20, 2023, 14 hotels have obtained SDGs-related certifications. These hotels engage in various activities aimed at contributing to the local community. For example, HIYORI Ocean Resort in Okinawa promotes local production for local consumption, while the hotels lit and Villa in Miyakojima focus on water resource conservation.

In Sado City, the hotels are addressing SDGs from both environmental and social perspectives, utilizing biomass plastics and engaging in activities mindful of achieving a “Zero Carbon Island”. The hotel lit Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture is advancing sustainable tourism and concentrating on reducing food loss.

Furthermore, hotels in various locations including Nagoya, Hida Takayama, Kurashiki City, and Chiba Prefecture are progressing their unique SDGs initiatives tailored to their regional characteristics. These activities not only enhance customer satisfaction but also contribute to improving employee job satisfaction and to the local communities.

Sun Frontier Hotel Management Corporation, through such hotel operations, provides customers with peace of mind and satisfaction while simultaneously contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
