On July 25, 2025, Super Hotel Co., Ltd. will, for the first time, appoint global talent from its in-house training institution, SHHAM (Super Hotel Hospitality Academy Myanmar), as hotel managers and assistant managers. This appointment is based on the company’s unique “Venture Manager Program,” and marks the first time that foreign nationals will take full responsibility for operating an entire hotel property.

Super Hotel has been actively utilizing overseas talent, particularly through its group company Super Hotel Clean Co., Ltd., where 61.8% of employees are foreign nationals. The company expects that the presence of personnel from diverse backgrounds across its group companies will contribute to meeting diverse customer needs, revitalizing the organization, and driving innovation.

SHHAM, established in Myanmar, specializes in recruiting and training talent in the service sector, with a focus on hospitality and nursing care. In addition to on-the-job training, SHHAM offers education in Japanese language, culture, and etiquette. Graduates of the program are given opportunities to work at Super Hotel locations in Japan as well as with other Japanese companies. In September 2024, eight members of the first graduating class were assigned to hotels in Japan, followed by seven members of the second class in February 2025. Among them, three pairs who aspired to become hotel managers completed their training by July 11, 2025, and will officially take up their roles under the Venture Manager Program.

The Venture Manager Program, known as the “Super Dream Project,” has been in place since 1998. It allows individuals to apply with a partner and gain hands-on experience in hotel operations while learning business management skills. For those aiming to start their own businesses, the program offers practical learning and financial support, while for the company, it serves as a way to secure future managerial talent. A key feature of the program is the provision of on-site living quarters, which eliminates the need for rent, utility, and commuting expenses. Interest among overseas applicants has been increasing, with a 1.27-fold rise in the number of participants in information sessions and a fivefold increase in applications as of the end of January 2024 compared to the previous year.

Among the three pairs assuming managerial roles, two individuals from Myanmar will take up their positions at Super Hotel Shimbashi Karasumoriguchi on July 25. They have prior experience working at Super Hotel Kumamoto Ekimae Natural Hot Springs and are motivated by the joy and learning they gained through customer service. Another individual from Myanmar will assume the role at Super Hotel Hiroshima on July 30. This person has previous experience at Super Hotel Premier JR Nara Station and is committed to creating a workplace that is both enjoyable and engaging. They also envision establishing a medical support facility in their home country in the future. Additionally, two individuals from China will take up managerial roles at Super Hotel Tokyo Nihombashi Mitsukoshimae on August 4. They are working toward the future goal of founding a trading company that connects Japan and China, and they are using this program to gain experience in business management.

Super Hotel plans to continue promoting the inclusion of overseas talent, supporting their growth through experiences in Japan, and fostering their development as bridges between Japan and their home countries.
