Dive Inc. continues its involvement in the tourism internship program hosted by Nagasaki Prefecture, following last year’s efforts, by welcoming university students from North Sulawesi, Indonesia, to work at accommodation facilities within the prefecture. The company is once again in charge of managing the initiative this fiscal year.
This program targets students from Universitas Negeri Manado (UNIMA) in North Sulawesi and provides them with practical training opportunities in the tourism industry. It aims to foster the development of international talent within Japan’s hospitality sector while contributing to regional tourism promotion.
On July 16, 2025, representatives from Dive and Nagasaki Prefecture visited North Sulawesi to hold discussions with the provincial government. The meeting was attended by officials including the Governor and the Head of the Education Office on the Indonesian side, while participants from Japan included members of the Nagasaki Prefectural Department of Culture, Tourism, and International Affairs, representatives from the Nagasaki Prefecture Ryokan and Hotel Association, and Dive’s Director of Foreign Employment Promotion. The parties exchanged views on future policies for cultivating tourism talent.
On the same day, Dive and the provincial government signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning human resource development and educational support in the hospitality sector. The MOU seeks to promote Japanese language education locally, establish specialized training programs in Japan aimed at future employment, and realize a sustainable program that reduces the financial burden on participants.

Within this project, Dive provides foreign students wishing to intern at accommodation facilities in Nagasaki Prefecture with access to hotel and ryokan job listings. Final placements are determined through interviews conducted by Japanese employers, with Dive in attendance. After acceptance, Dive offers comprehensive support for foreign talent, including visa assistance, flight arrangements, airport pickup, accompaniment to government offices and banks, and ongoing follow-up after placement.
Looking ahead, through this project and the MOU, Dive plans to further strengthen collaboration with local educational institutions, supporting the development of international talent in the tourism sector and promoting their success in Japan.
