On August 1, a new accommodation facility called “Fantasy Forest Atami,” managed by a project team of two Tokyo-based companies and university students, opened its doors. The facility is primarily operated by students, giving them the opportunity to gain practical business skills from a managerial perspective while running the day-to-day operations. This unique initiative is designed to revitalize the local area and support the development of the younger generation, bringing new energy to the community.

OLIOLI-WORKS LLC is involved in the operation as a local support company. The project, led by two Tokyo-based companies and university students, aims to develop managerial skills through hands-on experience. As the first project of its kind in Atami, it seeks to rediscover the region’s appeal and promote revitalization by making effective use of vacant houses and underutilized properties. By having students manage the facility, the project also aims to offer pricing and services that resonate with their peers, creating a new trend of young people attracting other young people.

The operation of the facility is managed by a team primarily composed of university students, serving as a learning environment where they can gain practical management experience. Through running the accommodation, students acquire business skills from a managerial perspective, gaining experience in areas such as marketing, financial management, and customer service. The project also adds value to the region by repurposing vacant houses and idle properties, aiming to revitalize the entire town through rediscovery of the area’s charm and strengthened collaboration with local residents.

By having students in charge, the facility offers services and pricing that are accessible to young people, allowing for flexible responses to their needs. This also contributes to job creation in the area by utilizing local talent, which helps to stimulate the local economy. Looking ahead, the project plans to increase employment opportunities for local residents and promote economic circulation within the region.

Through this project, OLIOLI-WORKS LLC, as a supporting company, also aims to contribute to regional revitalization. They are exploring ways to create and develop new managerial talent and support the repurposing of vacant houses. By further strengthening ties with local residents and involving the entire community in the project, they aim to achieve sustainable regional revitalization, ultimately enhancing the overall appeal of the region.
