The hotel’s interior design centers around the elegance (‘miyabi’) that symbolized the glamour of the Heian period, incorporating traditional Japanese decor and motifs in a contemporary fashion. Additionally, Japanese art and folklore, represented by works such as ‘The Tale of Genji’ and ‘Choju-jinbutsu-giga’ (animal-person caricatures), are sprinkled throughout the space as accents.

The 81 rooms and suites range from 42 to 238 square meters, designed to offer panoramic views of Kyoto’s seasonal landscapes and cityscapes. In particular, the ‘3-Bedroom Penthouse Suite’ allows guests to rent out the top floor, including a rooftop terrace, catering to special needs.

The hotel features facilities such as the ‘Earth Lab’ and ‘Alchemy Bar,’ where guests can engage in sustainability efforts and hands-on experiences. The ‘Six Senses Spa’ offers anti-aging treatments and wellness menus inspired by Japanese Zen culture. Dining options include an all-day dining venue utilizing local ingredients, a sushi restaurant, lounge, and bar, providing unique Kyoto dining experiences.
