Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of ‘Umana Bali LXR Hotels & Resorts’ on the island of Bali in Indonesia on November 23, 2023, marking the brand’s first venture into Southeast Asia. This new resort comprises 72 villas offering a unique experience that blends wellbeing, culture, and community.
Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific, stated that this launch is a significant opportunity for the growth of Hilton’s luxury brand portfolio. Following the ‘ROKU KYOTO, LXR Hotels & Resorts’ in Kyoto, the brand has expanded to Bali, aiming to increase its presence in highly popular global destinations.
‘Umana Bali’ is owned by PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk and operated by Hilton. Johannes Suriadjaja, the President Director of the company, expressed great pleasure in launching the first LXR Hotels & Resorts in Southeast Asia.
Located in Ungasan, Bali, the resort boasts one of the island’s most stunning ocean views. Each villa is cascadingly built upon limestone cliffs, featuring a design reminiscent of ancient rice paddies.
The resort is inspired by Bali’s philosophy of ‘Tri Hita Karana’, offering guests a deep connection with nature and local craftsmanship, allowing them to experience the spirit of the destination. The resort has developed eco-friendly amenities and formed partnerships with the local community.
The resort also features the Lohma Spa, providing holistic care that combines ancient traditional healing with contemporary treatments. The dining options emphasize fresh and nutritious ingredients, with over 80% of produce sourced locally and served in a variety of restaurants and bars.
Additionally, the resort offers a range of activities to experience the charms of Bali, suitable for the whole family. These include helicopter scenic tours, beachside barbecues, stargazing, and kite-making, allowing guests to discover the natural beauty of Bali.
The opening of ‘Umana Bali’ marks a new milestone for Hilton, offering customers a new style of luxurious stay.
